Anatomy

1.Q. What is the cerebrum? What is the cerebral cortex?
1.A. The cerebrum is the largest part of the brain as a whole. It is here that things like perception, imagination, thought, judgment, and decision occur. The cerebral cortex is the layer of unmyelinated neurons (the grey matter) forming the cortex of the cerebrum.

2.Q. What are neurons?
2.A. A neuron is an electrically excitable cell that processes and transmits information by electrochemical signaling, which are connections with other cells called synapses.

3.Q. What are gray and white matter and what are they composed of?
3.A. Grey matter is closely packed nueron cell bodies. It helps with sensory perceptions (seeing, hearing, emotions, memory, speech) and muscle control. White matter is the part of the brain that contains myelinated nerve fibers.

4.Q. What is the cerebellum? What is the cerebellum believed to be responsible for?
4.A.The cerebellum is a region of the brain that plays an important role in motor control. It is also involved in some cognitive functions such as attention and language, and probably in some emotional functions such as regulating fear and pleasure responses but its function in movement is the most clearly understood.

5.Q. What does cerebrospinal fluid do?
5.A. CSF works as a cushion for your brain. Essentially your brain floats in it. It surrounds the brain and spinal chord to protect it, say from a sudden shock.

6.Q. Why is good blood supply important to the brain?
6.A. It supplies oxygen and nutrients to your brain which makes it function properly.

7.Q. Give an extremely short summary of the presumed function of the 4 lobes & cerebellum.
7.A.
Frontal - Reasoning and Planning
Parietal - Movement orientation
Occipital - Visual Processing
Temporal - perception and recognition
Cerebellum - Emotion

Conclusion: I learned that the Duromatter is difficult to remove from the brain. That goat brains where smaller then humans and are more prune shaped.
